Pre-launch draft. Dead Simple Hosting is not yet open to customers and is not accepting payments. These policies describe how the service is intended to operate and are still being finalised — they are not yet in effect.

This policy explains what Dead Simple Hosting ([legal entity name pending]) collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: we collect what it takes to run your servers and bill you, we don't run ad trackers, and we don't sell your data.
To provide and secure the Service (provisioning, backups, restores, abuse prevention), to bill you, to notify you about your account and servers (transactional email — e.g. verification, password reset, payment issues), to support you, and to meet legal obligations. We do not use your content to train anything or for any purpose other than hosting it for you.
If you run a server or community, data about your players (usernames, UUIDs, IP addresses in logs, whatever your plugins store in managed databases) lives inside Your Content. For that data, you are the operator of your community and we host and process it on your behalf. Be straight with your players about any rules or data practices of your own.
Game servers run in our US datacenter (Grand Rapids, Michigan). Like almost every hosting product, we rely on a small set of infrastructure subprocessors:
All processing happens in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you consent to that transfer.
You can access and update account data in the panel, export your server data (download backups) yourself, and request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data via support. Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK GDPR, California CPRA) you may have additional statutory rights; we honor valid requests regardless of geography.
Accounts are for people 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if you believe a child holds an account, contact us and we will remove it. (Players joining a customer's Minecraft server authenticate through Mojang/Microsoft, not through us.)
We will post updates here and give notice for material changes. Questions or requests: support or [privacy contact email pending].
